BioCanRx HQP Travel Award - NOW CLOSED

Summary

The BioCanRx mission is to build and foster a network that accelerates Canada’s most promising biologically based cancer therapies into clinical trials. Canadian scientists and students involved in the research and development of cancer biotherapeutics are central to achieving our mission, and we believe that staying current with the field and continually updating one’s skill sets are important to your personal success, the network and the entire field.

Distance should not prohibit you from developing your skills and career. BioCanRx HQP Travel Awards enable highly qualified personnel (HQP) to attend exciting and relevant learning and development opportunities, and are awarded on a competitive basis.

The Pan-Canadian Strategic Forum on Cell & Gene Therapy will bring together national and international experts to discuss the most recent discoveries in cell therapy, including cancer immunotherapy, identify facilitators and barriers to avoid in order to ensure the success of these innovations, define good practices in cell production, and focus on effective commercialization for the benefit of all Canadians. All regulatory issues will also be at the heart of the concerns.

The event will highlight the expertise of renowned presenters through conferences and discussion panels, but will also build upon the ideas and skills of participants through workshops. The purpose of the forum is therefore to identify concrete courses of action to help stakeholders in the field to be better equipped to deal with this major medical revolution.

This is an excellent learning and networking opportunity for HQP in the cancer immunotherapy space to learn about the clinical, social and economic impacts of exciting biotherapeutics for Canadians, our biotechnology sector, and our healthcare system.
